Apunix's random access 8mm cartridge stackers give users easily accessible high-capacity storage. Several models are available, with capacities ranging from 10 cartridges and 140 GB to 80 cartridges and 3 TB.
The stackers come with Apunix's QuickChange and Network Backup Daemon software packages, which include SCSI drivers for the changer and the tape drive(s) plus a collection of application software to help automate backups and archiving. Also bundled is Apunix's FARtool, an archiving GUI that writes tar-compatible data and extracts at 20-200 times the speed of a regular tar archive.
